Conclusion:
The Thermalright SK-6 HS with the Delta
60mm fan is an awesome combo that will impress you and put you in
your seat. I was really impressed with the SK-6 because of it's
ability to cool the CPU while the volts were high, and keeping it
at safe temps under heavy loads.
There were a few things that I wanted
to comment on, the first being that the Delta fan is an awesome
fan, but if you're looking for quiet and the stealthy method then
think twice about buying this fan. At nights I can hear the high
pitch of the fan in my case with the side panel is closed. I was
use to the 60mm Global-Win on my
FOP32-1, but when the Delta was attached to the Thermalright SK-6
all I heard was the high pitch rotataion of the fan. Spinning around
7000RPM what do you expect! Yes this is in fact what the 60mm Delta
fan spins at. Hey it's a great fan, still a bit loud for me, but
I'll keep it.
The second thing I wanted to bring
to attention is that the installation of the HSF to the motherboard.
I had some troubles attaching the clip to the motherboard, and then
trying to take it off. I thought I was going to destroy my motherboard
by trying to rip off the HS from the motherboard. I think that the
clip design needs some more work for the attaching purposes to the
motherboard, and then taking it off. It was really hard to get the
clip off the motherboard when it was already attached. I had to
take the fan clips, and the fan off of the HS so I was able to get
in and take the HS clip off, and still It was not easy.
Other than those minor cons about the
HSF the Thermalright SK-6 HSF is a great combo that you can get
at 2Cooltek.com
for $42 dollars. It is a great HSF that you can use to overclock
your CPU to the extreme, while having your CPU stay at safe temperatures.
I would recommend the Thermalright SK-6 to anyone that is looking
for a great 100% copper heatsink that performs, and out performs
most of the other heatsink's on the market today.
Thank you again to Ian from 2Cooltek.com
for the review product!
